Upcycled wax tartlets

The leftover candle wax that remains long after the wick is gone has always bothered me. So one day I decided to do something about it. I made wax tarts using a mold that came with a store bought tartlet.

First I melted the wax on the stove top in a make shift double broiler. I then poured the wax into the molds and placed them in the freezer.

Thirty minutes later and…ta da! Wax tartlets.

Not only do I get to use every last bit of wax I can also upcycle the candle holders (or re-gift them)

Friday Etsy Finds

Last Friday I was busy baking for my sister’s Bridal shower. It was a huge success as well as the delicious chocolate malt cupcakes frosted with vanilla malt buttercream…yumm!

I seriously need a new handbag and this one has shot straight up to the top of my wish list. So cute!

I can’t help but love all things steampunk. The best thing about this find? The shop is located in Vegas. Oh yeah!

Happy shopping!
